World War I

Our 20mm World War I miniatures are suitable for early WWI. We also have the following nationalities Austrians, Belgians, British, French, Germans and Russians.

The Russians are also suitable for the Russo-Japanese War and the Russian Civil War.

World War I (often abbreviated to WWI), also known as the Great War. Started in 1914 after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria. His murder slung Europe into a war that lasted until 1918. During the conflict, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire (the Central Powers) fought against Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania, Canada, Japan and the United States (the Allied Powers). An approximated 9 million military personnel died in combat. Plus another 23 million wounded, while 5 million civilians died as a result of military action.

World War I has also been referred to as the first modern war. In that many of the technologies now associated with military conflict: Aerial combat, machine guns, tanks and radio communications, are now commonplace on the battlefield.

20mm WWI miniatures are available in packs, usually of 4 figures or 2 cavalry and are priced as shown. Miniatures cast in white metal and are not suitable for children. Models supplied unpainted. Model making skills will prove useful.
