The Soviet-Japanese War was a military conflict which started after the war in Europe had ended. The Soviet invasion of the Japanese puppet state of Manchukuo commenced soon after midnight on 9th August 1945. The Soviets and Mongolians ended Japanese control of Manchukuo, Mengjiang, northern Korea, Karafuto, and the Chishima Islands. The defeat of Japan’s Kwantung Army helped bring about the Japanese surrender and the conclusion of World War II.

The Soviet entry into the war was a important component in the Japanese government’s decision to surrender unconditionally, because it was made apparent that the Soviets wasn’t willing to act as a third party in negotiating an end to hostilities on conditional terms.

Our 20mm Soviet-Japanese War miniatures are available in packs, usually of 4 figures and are priced as shown. Miniatures cast in white metal and are not suitable for children. Models supplied unpainted. Model making skills will prove useful.
