The Bren Gun is a gas operated, air cooled, selective fire light machine gun (LMG). Used extensively by British and Commonwealth forces throughout World War II. Also used during the Falklands War by 40 Commando Royal Marines. For more information see Wikipedia article.

The Lee-Enfield is a bolt action, magazine fed repeating rifle and was the British Army’s standard rifle from its official adoption in 1895 until 1957. The World War I versions are often referred to as the SMLE, which is short for the common Short, Magazine, Lee-Enfield variant.     Out of the initial 36 or so Miniatures I purchased from East Front, these Bren teams are my favorite. Slight bend in the Standing Bren gunners Barrel. Minor adjustment and good as new.
