This book is dedicated to the many heroes of France, both those whose names are known, such as de Gaulle, Weygand, Juin, Koenig, and LeClerc, as well as those whose names are not known because they died fighting: both the native sons and the colonials who fought for the Drapeau Tricolore.

This book is my humble tribute to their underappreciated sacrifice. It is my sincere hope that through wargaming, in some small way their sacrifice lives on even if history never knew their name.
