The kurzer 8 cm Granatwerfer 42 or (kz 8 cm GrW 42) was a mortar used by Germany during World War II. It was developed as a lightened version of the standard German 8 cm GrW 34 medium mortar with a shorter barrel for use by paratroopers. It could fire 15 to 25 rounds per minute. The MP 40 or Maschinenpistole 40 is a open bolt, blowback operated automatic arms. Designed in 1938 by Heinrich Vollmer. Used extensively by the Axis powers during World War II.
