Suspension of Sales to the EU

Suspension of Sales to the EU

Suspension of Sales to the EU, On December 13th, the EU will implement new regulations called the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR). These regulations are designed to improve product safety across the European Union. However, one requirement presents a significant hurdle for businesses outside the EU: the need for a ‘responsible person’ within the EU to ensure compliance with the regulations.

As a small business, we do not have an EU presence

As a small business, we do not have an EU presence. Unlike large multinational corporations with offices in multiple countries, we lack the resources to establish an EU representative. As a result, we are forced to suspend sales to EU countries starting next Friday, December 6th. This suspension also includes Norway, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein, as they align with EU regulations within the EEA. Additionally, we must suspend orders to Northern Ireland due to the same requirements.

We understand the frustration and disappointment this may cause for our EU customers

We understand the frustration and disappointment this may cause for our EU customers. Other indie hobby manufacturers are facing similar challenges, leading to widespread disruptions in the availability of products in the EU market. The GPSR regulations, intended to enhance safety, inadvertently create barriers for small businesses, leaving EU customers without access to their favourite products.

We are actively exploring potential solutions to comply with these new regulations and resume our sales to the EU. We are considering options such as partnerships and establishing an EU representative to meet the requirements. However, these solutions require time and careful planning.

Our commitment to our customers remains steadfast

Our commitment to our customers remains steadfast. We are dedicated to finding a way to continue serving our EU community while ensuring compliance with the new regulations. We will provide regular updates on our progress and appreciate your understanding and patience during this challenging period.

Thank you for your continued support. We apologize for any inconvenience this suspension may cause and look forward to resuming our sales to the EU as soon as possible.
