The Lee-Enfield is a bolt action, magazine fed repeating rifle and was the British Army’s standard rifle from its official adoption in 1895 until 1957. The World War I versions are often referred to as the SMLE, which is short for the common Short, Magazine, Lee-Enfield variant.     These are really nice figures. Lots of fine detail, and anatomically excellent, they really catch the look of the British Paratroop soldier of the period. I shall be buying some more!
