The RPD is a 7.62mm light machine gun developed in the Soviet Union by Vasily Degtyaryov. The RPD was introduced in 1944 and still used to the present day. For more information see Wikipedia article.

I like the variety of these poses, i don’t usually like prone figures, as they rarely lay flat on my bases, but this prone gunner, like all of Platoon 20s prone figures is really hugging the ground!
